"Students have high expectations for college, and these expectations have increased over the past two decades. In 1988, 57 percent of middle and high school students said it was very likely they would go to college. By 1997, this level had increased to 67 percent. Today, 75 percent say it is very likely they will go to college." – MetLife Survey of the American Teacher: Preparing Students for College and Careers
TIME Magazine Spread
In September 2013, CommunicationWorks worked with Carnegie Corporation of New York to produce an eight-page spread for TIME Magazine to coincide with the TIME Summit on Higher Education, which was sponsored by Carnegie. The spread draws attention to the pivotal role U.S. research universities play in fueling economic and social growth through innovation, and draws attention to threats to—and what can be done to strengthen—the research enterprise. CW developed the concept for the piece, gathered research, collaborated closely with prominent college leaders who bylined the pieces, and worked with TIME to finalize the design and layout. Please view the spread in its entirety.
